IMMERSIVE

While working on the Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases Project as an undergraduate at Emory University, Meredith researched the life and work of Jesse Max Barber, a Black journalist who survived the 1906 Atlanta massacre. Her story about Barber was sent to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, where was chosen during a blind selection process for adaptation into a virtual reality project that premiered at South by Southwest in 2025.
The project is now available for download as a mobile application.
